Learn DSLR Photography with Private Lessons – Photography for Beginners to Advanced
Like having your own personal tutor!
Studio 2.8 Lightscapes Learning Center is offering private photography lessons for all levels of photographers from beginner to advanced. The beginner level is geared for those who have no knowledge of photography. It covers the basic fundamental building blocks of photography. The intermediate or mid-level covers more advanced controls of a digital SLR camera, including creative exposures and shooting in camera RAW, or can be tailored to just include how to learn Photoshop. The advanced level is geared for those who photographers who want to go pro, or have just recently started a photography business. Private lessons are taught by Mary Buck, owner of Lightscapes Portrait Studio and Studio 2.8 Lightscapes Learning Center. Mary has over 20 years experience as a professional photographer and over five years experience as a photography instructor. You can read more about Mary’s qualifications on her Bio page.
Each level is taught on a month-to-month basis with a minimum 3 month commitment. Each level will include one-on-one lesson time (either in person or via Skype), homework, critiques and unlimited questions and answers via email. The Pro-Level also includes 2 hours of apprenticing with Mary each month. The goal of the program is to teach the basic fundamentals and building blocks of photography so one can grow as a creative. Homework will be an integral part of the program as well as feedback on our part. We will only accept 5 students per month, so only disciplined and passionate people should apply.
How to learn photography has never been easier. You can learn at your own pace, on your own schedule and learn exactly what you need to learn for your job or for your hobby. Learn Mary’s photography tips through her in-class and online tutorials.
Here is what others have said about their private lessons:
“Thanks for your hard work with the classes. Now I can take photos with confidence. You are a great teacher. Thanks Mary” Tom
“I’ve had my camera for probably 6 or more years and I’ve only shot it on the “auto” mode. I can’t tell you what a difference Mary’s class has made in my picture taking, and how I view taking them as well. It’s so nice to be able to use my camera for it’s real purpose, and very exciting to be able to really know how to use it! I’ve always loved photography and this is the best thing I did for myself was to finally learn how to use my camera. I’m so looking forward to taking more of Mary’s classes in the near future.” Kirstain
“February 2016 I signed up for a photography class with Studio 2.8, Mary Buck. I had already made up my mind that if I liked the class I would take the private beginner lesson. I am so glad I did! I had my camera for over 2 years and never got off the auto mode. Now I have the confidence needed to never go back to auto. I enjoyed the one on one but I loved having weekly assignments for the practice and to use what I learned during the one on one time. I will use what I have learned for the rest of my life but I am considering taking more classes in the fall to get me to the next level. I highly recommend this class if you are wanting to learn how to use your camera. Mary was very informative & made it fun! Ruth
